Paramount Is Celebrating Star Trek Day by Making Almost Every Trek Premiere Free Next Week

In honor of this year’s Star Trek Day, Paramount will make the premiere episodes of each and every Trek series—barring one—available to stream free online from September 7-13.

Stream on Paramount+

This mean’s TOS‘s “The Cage,” TNG‘s “Encounter at Farpoint I & II,” DS9‘s “The Emissary I & II,” Voyager‘s “Caretaker I & II,” Enterprise‘s “Broken Bow I & II,” The Animated Series‘ “Beyond the Farthest Star,” Strange New Worlds’ “Strange New Worlds,” Lower Decks‘ “Second Contact,” Discovery‘s “The Vulcan Hello,” and Picard‘s “Remembrance” will be available to view at your leisure.

Additionally, multiple episodes of Short Treks, including “The Girl Who Made the Stars,” “The Trouble with Edward,” “Ask Not,” “Runaway,” and “Ephraim and Dot” will also be made available. Notably absent, however, is “Lost and Found I & II,” the two-part premiere episode of Prodigy, a snub further solidifying the doomed cartoon as the true black sheep of the Star Trek franchise. Aside from those, each episode will be available on Amazon, Apple, Roku, Paramount+’s official YouTube page, Pluto TV, and on the Paramount+ free content hub (in the U.S. only, sorry).

Paramount has additionally partnered with Code.org, DoSomething.Org, and Outright International for “Take the Chair, Make a Difference,” a new Star Trek-branded campaign charity “encouraging fans to embrace the optimistic vision of a brighter future and to give back to the inclusive community.” The campaign reportedly “invites fans to see themselves in the iconic USS Enterprise captain’s chair and ask themselves, “What would I do if I were setting the course to the future?’”

Lastly, fans will also be able to celebrate Star Trek Day at an array of interactive pop-up events, including the Taste of Chicago in Chicago, Ill., featuring a replica of the USS Enterprise’s iconic captain’s chair. Elsewhere, in both Berlin, Germany at the ALEXA Mall, and Vancouver, British Columbia at the Richmond Centre, you’ll be able to find a “modern architectural interpretation of the captain’s chair crafted from sustainable materials.” At all three locations, you’ll be invited to “capture a photo, obtain a personalized mission and receive a limited edition enamel pin” upon “taking the chair.”

Fun, right? Free episodes, charities, and a limited edition pin for everyone—except those little twerps aboard the Protostar.
