In the world of Android phones, Google makes some of the best smartphones around. Known for reliability and exceptional picture quality, many of Google’s phones have earned a spot on our list of favorite phones overall. Plenty of new hardware and specs were introduced during the Made by Google event this summer, including the state-of-the-art Pixel 9 lineup. The newest iterations of Pixel phones incorporate advanced AI with Google’s Gemini software and have been equipped with upgraded cameras, among other improvements.

The Pixel 9 lineup runs on Google’s Tensor G4 processor and Android 14, though Android 15 is expected to arrive soon. As for other specs, the premium Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch OLED display, a 5,060-mAh battery and is available with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage, along with 16GB of RAM. If you’re looking at the base model instead, you’ll get a 6.3-inch OLED screen and a 4,700-mAh battery, as well as 12GB of RAM and the choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

How much does the Pixel 9 series cost?
Pricing on the new models varies, with the base Pixel 9 listing at $799, the Pixel 9 Pro retailing for $999 and the premium Pixel 9 Pro XL selling for $1,099. There is also a newly designed Pixel 9 Pro Fold that if you prefer a foldable model.
If you’re ready to upgrade, there’s no need to wait. The entire Google Pixel 9 lineup is on shelves now, and there are discounts to be had if you know where to look. Deals are showing up at multiple retailers and carriers, helping you save on the latest flagship devices. We’ve listed the best below. Additionally, you should start seeing pretty significant Pixel deals on older models now that the newest edition is on the horizon, which could be another great option for budget-conscious buyers.

Best unlocked Pixel 9 deals
Right now, you can order any of the Pixel 9 phones directly from Google and get a year of Gemini Advanced for free, a value of $240. If you don’t mind parting with an older device, you can get up to $760 in trade-in credit for eligible devices.
Those who join Google Fi Wireless can get an extra $500 back on any new Pixel phone, which will be delivered via 24 monthly bill credits. If you upgrade with a carrier via the Google Store, there are some deals to be had, too. With Verizon, you can get up to $800 off the Pixel 9 or Pixel 9 Pro XL with an eligible trade-in. You can also save $100 on a Pixel Pro or Pro XL with Verizon or AT&T without trade-in. You can get $100 off a Pixel 9 Pro Fold with Verizon, too.
While there are no direct discounts on them, you can currently order the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and save $100 when you connect with a carrier through Best Buy.
You’ll also get three months of Google One 100GB storage with the purchase of a Pixel 9 phone if you’re a new subscriber.
If you’re willing to part with an older device, you can get up to $1,099 in trade-in savings through Best Buy’s own trade-in program, though most phones will bring in significantly less than that, so be sure to check your particular model to get a better idea of how much credit you can expect.
Amazon isn’t offering discounts on Pixel 9 series phones right now, but you can potentially save up to $240 in the form of an Amazon.com gift card credit when you trade in your old device. You will also get one year of Gemini Advanced for free, a value of $240.
Right now at Target, there are no straightforward discounts, but it does have the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL in stock in multiple locations. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is currently at its full price of $1,799.

Best Pixel 9 deals with a carrier
AT&T sells Pixel 9 and Pixel Pro phones and is offering enticing trade-in deals.
AT&T will let you score the 9 Pro or the 9 Pro XL for free with an eligible Pixel phone trade-in. AT&T is accepting Pixel phones from any year in any condition. If you want the Pixel 9, you can get that for $11 a month, with no trade-in required, which saves you $454 in bill credits. You can also get the AT&T AmiGo Jr. watch for free with an eligible Pixel 9 series phone purchase.
AT&T isn’t currently offering the 9 Pro Fold.
Right now at Verizon, you can also get up to $800 off a new Pixel 9 series phone with a qualified trade-in and a new line. That will essentially score you the base Pixel 9 for free. In terms of qualifying for the trade-in credit, Verizon is accepting phones in any condition, but you will need to sign up for the Unlimited Ultimate plan. Plus, you get NFL Sunday Ticket for this football season on YouTube as an added bonus.
You can currently nab all Pixel 9 series phones at Verizon, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
No phone to trade? No problem. You can score the Pixel 9 for as low as $5 per month, the Pixel 9 Pro for $25 per month, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold for as low as $15 per month. You’ll have to sign up for a qualifying 36-month contract.
You can get a Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL for free with a qualifying plan. The savings appears as bill credits for 24 months, but keep in mind that you’ll still pay the $35 activation fee.
If you want a Pixel 9 Pro Fold you can get up to $1,000 off with a Go5G Plus or GoNext plan if you sign up for a new line or have a qualifying trade-in.
You can also save up to $600 with a new line on the Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plans or score the same deal when trading in an eligible device on those plans. Whichever way you choose, that gets you the Pixel 9 or Pixel 9 Pro XL for free and lets you score major discounts on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Other offers include up to $500 in credit when you trade in an eligible device on a GoG5, Magenta or One plan.
Xfinity is offering up to $500 off any of the Pixel 9 phones with a qualifying trade-in.
Right now, Visible is offering $240 off on Google phones with a Visible Plus plan. All Pixel 9 series phones are eligible for this discount. You’ll get these savings via credits for 24 months.
MintMobile is offering one of the best straightforward discounts out there right now as far as carrier models go. You can save $400 off either the Pixel 9 or the Pixel 9 Pro XL, plus you get six months of free wireless when you commit to a one-year service plan.
You can also save $350 on a Pixel 9 Pro Fold and get the free six months of service.
